prepping and taking the sat/act/psat
Congratulations! You've made it to your senior year and you're on your way to graduating high school. Take a look at the items below as a checklist for finishing well.

sat/act
information
IMPORTANT NOTE: SAT and ACT test taking has become less crucial to the college process.
Though some organizations require students to submit SAT/ACT scores to apply,
many colleges and universities no longer require the SAT or ACT.
Please check the specific organization you wish to join for their specific SAT/ ACT requirements.
Freshmen:
Be looking ahead towards PSAT.
Sophomores:
Take at least 1 PSAT test to get a good gauge as to where you are. The results on the PSAT can qualify you for different scholarships that are available for college, so be sure to take it seriously. Begin studying for the real SAT/ACT test with a prep book.
Juniors:
Take the PSAT, then plan out dates for taking the SAT/ACT 1-2 times this year to get familiar with the test. Use SchooLinks to research your college wish list and the scores that are needed in order to get acceptance to that school.
Seniors:
You should have already taken the tests by now. This is your chance to try one more time to boost your score before college application season. Be sure you are tracking the test dates and know the last ones that you can take before application deadlines.
